I run one agent. Do I need Hosted?
Only if you don't already host the agent yourself. Free covers everything an existing agent owner needs: verified badges, signed audit bundles, public dashboard, drift alerts via email, free A2A endpoints. Hosted exists for SMBs who want an A2A agent on their domain without writing JSON-RPC handlers — we generate the agent card, sign it, host the JWKS, run the LLM, and route to your configured MCPs.
How is owner analytics different from agent_stats?
Owner analytics (Hosted) shows you who is calling your agent — per-API-key + per-user breakdown — for the agents you own. The free agent_stats skill shows aggregate impressions + revenue + latency for any indexed agent, without caller identity. Same underlying data, different access levels; per-caller breakdown stays gated to the owner because the API-key-level info is privileged.
Why charge in USDC instead of fiat?
x402 USDC on Base settles natively at any amount — a $0.01 get_agent_full call costs $0.01, with no minimum-charge floor. Stripe's hard $0.50 minimum per charge would otherwise force us to either price every paid skill at ≥$0.50 (anti-customer) or bundle micro-charges (operationally complex). For card users who don't want crypto, our prepaid wallet works around the $0.50 minimum: top up once via Stripe Checkout (we credit the net of Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 fee), then each call debits from balance with no per-call round-trip. Why is verified-business identity free?
Same answer as Let's Encrypt vs paid SSL: a trust layer is only valuable when it's universal. We'd rather verify every business agent in the index for free, build the timeline + audit history on top, and earn revenue on operational scale.
What's the signed catalog feature for?
Publish a JSON menu/services feed at a stable URL declared in your agent card; we fetch, JCS-canonicalise + hash, JWS-verify against your /.well-known/jwks.json, and append a snapshot every change. Counterparty agents calling you get non-repudiation.
What if I exceed the API quota?
Free covers 60 req/min sustained. Hosted gets 600 req/min. The per-call market intelligence skills are unmetered (cost per call, not per quota). We throttle (HTTP 429), never bill overage automatically.
Do you handle EU VAT?
Yes — Stripe Tax collects automatically based on billing address. Provide an EU VAT number at checkout for B2B reverse-charge handling.
Will pricing change as the agent web grows?
The Free tier stays free — that promise is core to the moat. Paid tiers may add value (more skills, more verticals, more compliance signals) — existing customers stay grandfathered on their original price for at least 12 months from sign-up.
